The National Instruments PCI-6601 is a timing and digital I/O module for PCI.

A wide variety of buffered measurements or other counter/timer tasks can be performed with the PCI-6601 including: event counting;

period measurement; position or quadrature encoder measurement; frequency measurement; pulse-width measurement; pulse generation;

and pulsetrain generation.

The PCI-6601 board features four 32-bit counter channels and up to 32 lines of individually configurable,

TTL/CMOS-compatible digital I/O. One high-speed DMA-based transfer can be performed on the PCI-6601.
